‘Angry Birds Rio’ to release on March 22

Reportedly, the announcement of the release date of the much-anticipated game was made by the CEO of the gaming giant Rovio, at the Game Developer’s Conference held in San Francisco.
Peter Vesterbacka, the CEO of the company said that the upcoming edition of the game would be greener, and will include more green plush pigs.
The company had also launched Valentine’s Day, Christmas and Halloween levels for the game, and as the Valentine’s Day version was launched a week before Feb. 14, the St. Patrick’s Day (March 17) edition can be expected anytime soon.
Customized version of the game to release on Mar. 22
The company also announced via Twitter that a customized version of the ‘Angry Birds’, aimed to promote the Fox cartoon ‘Rio’, would also be released on Mar. 22.
Microsoft recently said that the game would be made available for all Windows Phone 7 users, by spring.


Discovery carrying humanoid robot in its last flight

Space shuttle Discovery set out on its final mission, with a team of six astronauts and a robot. Spectators in chunk attended the final getaway of the shuttle at Cape Canaveral, Fla.
Discovery shuttle has made the highest number of rounds in the space, till date, and has landed some of the best terrestrial memories to humans, to cherish.
The 11 day mission is the crew members’ final rendezvous with the International Space Station (ISS).
Discovery, a memorable journey for many
Steve Lindsay, the commander of the Discovery mission, vividly described how he got "always struck" by the “powerful and beautiful" space. "It is just overwhelming, that is the way it feels to me.", he added with joy.
For Eileen Collins, who took the pilot’s seat, aboard Discovery, and became the first woman ever to fly a shuttle, the journey is most memorable.
Again with Discovery, Dr. Bernard Harris, set the record of the first African-American in space.


Sony cuts price of PSP to $129

The new prices will be effective from Sunday, Feb 27. With the latest drop in price, Sony PSP will now be priced equal to the Nintendo DS Lite.
Price reduced of Playstation
Sony has sold 23 million units of the PSP in North America and about 67 million worldwide.
Sony said in a blog post, “Since launching in 2005, the PSP platform has had a profound impact on the way we play games while on-the-go, pushing the boundaries for cross-media entertainment and setting the benchmark for quality for portable games.”
The news about the reduction in the prices of PSP comes after two weeks of the launch of Sony Ericsson’s Xperia Play, which was also called the PlayStation phone at the World Mobile Congress at Barcelona, Spain.
This phone works on Android OS and has a slide out PlayStation controller.
New games added
The company is also going to include new games to its ‘Greatest Hits’ and ‘Favorite’ collections.
